This tastefully renovated two story beach house is located six blocks from the beach in beautiful Cape Charles, VA. The beach extends one-half mile and keeps growing due to an extensive beach improvement project now in its final stages. Bay Avenue, which runs along the beach, is a paved walkway perfect for walking or jogging and culminates in a wooden fishing pier extending out into the bay. The house is conveniently located two blocks from the playground and municipal tennis courts.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials for cooking. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a chest of drawers and dresser. The second and third bedrooms both have twin beds with trundles and dressers. The first floor has a full sized sleep sofa. Use our enclosed porch to store your bicycles and beach equipment.
Beyond the beach, you can test your skills at Bay Creek Resort boasting Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus World Class PGA Signature Golf Courses. Bay Creek also operates a marina that offers shops, restaurants, and fishing excursions within walking distance from the house.
If you prefer the Arts, The Art Deco Palace Theater, located at 305 Mason Avenue, is the place for you. First opened in 1941, it has been given a rebirth by a local non-profit organization that presents locally produced plays, dance performances, and touring productions throughout the year. Outdoor enthusiasts should check out Kiptopeke State Park located about eight miles south of Cape Charles having more than four miles of hiking/bicycle trails, fishing, beaches, kayaking, and other recreational facilities. Located opposite from Kiptopeke State Park is the Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge was established in 1984 for migratory and endangered species management and for wildlife oriented recreation. The 1123 acres of maritime forest, myrtle and bayberry thickets, grasslands, croplands, and fresh and brackish ponds provide important habitat for wildlife. Two hour kayaking tours are available in the Refuge.
Norfolk and Virginia Beach are about a 45- minute drive over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Over the bridge, you'll have easy access to the historic areas of Williamsburg, Jamestown, or Yorktown, as well as tours of Norfolk Naval Base.
